 Coronavirus medicine kit launched by ayurvedic product giant Patanjali on Tuesday will be available online for Rs 545. The kit will include Coronil, Shwasari and Anu Tel.

Patanjali will sell the kit on its e-commerce platform OrderMe App from next Monday and in stores from next week, even as the AYUSH Ministry has asked it to refrain from advertising the kit till the claims are duly examined.

What the kit includes:

1.Coronil: It is a medicine invented by Patanjali Research Institute and National Institute of Medical Science, Jaipur. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has claimed that the medicine, developed after a randomised placebo-controlled clinical trial on Covid-19 patients, has shown 100 per cent results in seven days. Coronil is made of the extracts of pure Giloy, Tulsi and Ashwagandha.

2.Shwasari: The kit also includes Shwasari which works on strengthening the respiratory system and cures the obvious symptoms of corona including cough, cold and fever.

3.Anu Tel: It is a nasal drop which helps build immunity.

Price of the medicine kit:

The kit is priced at Rs 545 and contains medicine for 30 days.

Manufacturer:

The medicine has been developed by Patanjali Research Institute and National Institute of Medical Science. It will be manufactured by Haridwar-based Divya Pharmacy and Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.

Where it will be sold:

The medicine kit will be sold on Patanjali's special e-commerce platform from Monday. The kit will be available in Patanjali stores after a week.

Who can take it:

According to research details shared by Baba Randev and Acharya Balkrishna, the MD of Patanjali Ayurved at a press conference, the kit was tested on Covid-19 patients who were tested positive for Covid-19 via RTPCR test and were between 15-60 years of age. But none of the trial subjects were severely symptomatic or had acute respiratory distress syndrome or any severe co-morbid conditions.Thus, people on whom the medicine was tested were either asymptomatic or had mild symptoms. Ramdev has however said that its medicine kit can also be taken as prevention for coronavirus. This is not an immunity booster but a coronavirus cure, Ramdev said.
